Trendy bridal designs :
Minimalist and elegant shoes: pointed toes, slingback pumps—this season, simplicity is key.
We recommend lovely blush beiges, which match perfectly with all skin tones, dusty rose or ivory, to harmonize with your wedding dress. Minimal or no accessories for minimalist and elegant bridal shoes.
The return of kitten heels (low-heeled wedding shoes): whether they’re square, stiletto, spool, or block, low heels that are ultra-comfortable are back for our greatest pleasure! We create them in salomé for a more retro design, on our Chloé strappy model for a modern design, or in chunky on our Suzanne for an ultra-romantic look.
Ornamented shoes: straps, bows—bridal shoes are adorned with multicolored accessories or glitter for a princess-like finish.
We love: the Lisa bow on the front of the Charlotte and the back of the salomé, the heart clips on our pumps, and of course, the 3 straps on the platform pump for a hyper-retro baby shoe effect.
How to pick the PERFECT bridal shoes
Step 1: Know the length and style of your wedding dress. Indeed, you won’t choose the same shoes if the dress is short / midi-length or long. Click here if you want to discover our tips for different types of dresses.
Step 2: Know the location of the wedding and consider it. We avoid stiletto heels in the grass, for fear of sinking, or overly covering models for beach weddings, to avoid hurting your feet! Click here if you want to discover our advice for different wedding venues.
Step 3: Know yourself well and prioritize comfort. You love 12 cm heels but only feel comfortable in sneakers? Then be reasonable and pick a pair in a heel height you're already comfortable with. Our advice: choose the height that you’ll enjoy wearing the most. Low-heeled bridal shoes are fantastic (see examples here), we adore flat bridal shoes, and we’re melting for the custom wedding sneakers (discover here).
Step 4: Choose the best materials based on your sensitivity. Since you’ll want to feel great from morning until the next day, you should choose supple materials for bridal shoes that make you feel like you're wearing slippers. At Dessine-moi un soulier, we only work with high-quality leathers and fabrics, though some are more flexible than others.
For sensitive feet, we recommend velvet leather, which is the finest and most stretchy material in our range. If you have questions about materials, contact us for personalized advice!
Tips to wear your shoes all day long (without pain)
The importance of wearing your shoes before the big day: It’s crucial to break in your shoes on your feet before wearing them for an extended period.
Therefore, we recommend ordering your wedding shoes a few months in advance so that you have time to break them in. Be careful! Wear your shoes at home or work, but avoid: cooking, leaving them where your dog or cat can find them, cycling or driving in them, or dancing with a clumsy partner who might step on your feet. Accidents happen quickly!
Half soles or cushions: Do you need accessories? Typically, you shouldn’t need to add anything extra to your shoes to be comfortable. However, we offer a pair of silicone half-soles when you order shoes from us. These can help if your feet tend to swell a lot: wear the half-soles at the beginning of the day, then remove them when your feet swell.
Note! We advise against ordering half a size larger to accommodate insoles, as the shoes will be too big!
Our tips to avoid foot pain: Get good advice and choose shoes that suit you. You won’t wear the same models if you have narrow feet or wide feet, or if you’re used to wearing heels or not. So don’t be shy, contact us, we love to assist you!
Changing shoes for the evening: Good or bad idea? It all depends on you and your desires! Just keep in mind that it needs to be considered when designing the dress, as if you go from 12 cm heels to our custom sneakers, your dress might end up dragging on the ground.
