Sophie & Timothé
Today, it's Sophie’s turn to share the details of her beautiful purple-themed wedding.

The encounter
Timothé and I met 7 years ago at a party hosted by friends. What’s funny is that neither of us was supposed to go! Once we were there, he came and sat next to me to chat. A month later, we were dating!
For the proposal, we went on a weekend trip to the French Riviera. One evening, he took me to a restaurant. Shortly after we ordered, a photographer approached us and suggested taking some photos on the beach, and we agreed. We posed, took a few photos, and then the photographer thanked us. At that moment, Timothé asked if we could take one last photo. He then turned to me, got down on one knee, and proposed! It was a magical moment!"
What stood out to them:
"There were so many memorable moments during our wedding; it’s hard to pick just one! I think the most significant moment for me was entering the church. As I arrived, I saw all the people who had come to support us, and then as I walked down the aisle, I saw Timothé with tears in his eyes—it was so moving!
We were also deeply touched by all the surprises our parents, witnesses, and friends prepared for us: a song, a balloon release, speeches, a video, and even a flash mob! We experienced an unforgettable wedding!
The venue :
We got married at Domaine de la Butte Ronde, which is truly a magical place! The estate is vast, with greenery as far as the eye can see, lakes with swans, and charming little white bridges. Lovely chalets scattered among the trees allow (almost) all the guests to stay overnight after the wedding. The cocktail area is cozy, a small cobblestone courtyard with a fountain in the middle. The reception takes place in a glass conservatory, offering a panoramic view of the entire estate!"
Their inspirations:
"For our wedding, we wanted something elegant and romantic. We chose the color ‘purple’ because we both love it, and it’s a color that works very well for a wedding without being overly feminine. We also wanted to make a nod to Timothé's goddaughter, whose name is 'Prune' (Plum). As for the rest, much of our inspiration came from Pinterest and from weddings we had attended. I made the table elements (menus, labels, and favor boxes) by hand, with the help of my mother, to whom I am incredibly grateful!
For the flowers, we were fortunate to have an expert in floral design, Tatiana Seignovert, a friend of my in-laws. She gave me a lot of advice, and she created all the floral arrangements: bouquets, boutonnieres, and the church decor. A true artist!

The design of the shoes
I wanted purple shoes to match our chosen theme and to surprise my husband. However, I knew that it would be IMPOSSIBLE to find the right shade of purple, the perfect shoe shape, heel height, etc., in stores. After some research, I found ‘Dessine-moi un soulier,’ which I had heard about from friends. I tried a few simulations on the website and then decided to visit the showroom to see the different models and try on shoes. That’s where I met Enea, a very friendly consultant who showed me the creations in the store, as well as the various materials and colors available. We began designing ‘my’ pair of shoes: round-toe pumps in violet velvet, 8 cm heels, with a bow in fine multicolored glitter at the back. A true gem! I even call them my Cinderella shoes.
I really recommend future brides visit the showroom, as it allows you to try on the shoes, see the colors in natural daylight, and get advice. Enea was able to guide me on the benefits of each shape/material/etc. Plus, I left with a color sample of my shoes, which helped me match my other accessories!

Her key vendors
The Dress: I found my dress at O’Scarlett, a multi-brand boutique where the consultants are truly lovely, especially Laura Bertozzi, who guided me in my choice and assisted with all necessary alterations.
The Hairstyle: I had my hair done by Viviane Vaissières from the Franck Pascal Salon in Asnières-Sur-Seine. She’s a true magician! I had always dreamed of my wedding hairstyle, and she understood exactly what I wanted and executed it to perfection!
The Makeup: My beautiful makeup, as well as my mother’s, was done by Ludivine Calvo, who partners with the Franck Pascal Salon in Neuilly-sur-Seine. She is a very kind young woman and incredibly skilled at highlighting your best features.
The Flowers: Tatiana Seignovert created all the floral arrangements for our ceremony. She is incredibly kind and immensely talented! Here are the links to her Facebook page and Instagram account.
The Photographer: We hired Freddy Fremond for the photos, whom we met at a friend’s wedding. He’s an exceptional photographer: not only talented but also discreet and very helpful. The cherry on top was that we received the first photos within a week of our wedding, and the complete photo DVD within just two weeks!
The Photobooth: We also rented a Sharing Box, which was fantastic! Everyone enjoyed it, and the results were amazing! Not only did we get plenty of photos for our guest book, but we also received all the digital files of the photos taken during the evening. I highly recommend it!
The Caterer: For the catering, we chose Grand Chemin Traiteur, whom we also met at a friend’s wedding. They were truly excellent, both in terms of client service during the event planning and the quality and presentation of the food. On the big day, the team was outstanding: the maître d’hôtel was very efficient, and all the servers were very kind.
Sophie's advice :
My advice is to enjoy yourself! This day can be very stressful: you’re expecting a lot of people, you’ve prepared so much, and you want everything to go as planned. But it’s important to remember that everyone there is there for you, happy to share this moment with you, and they have no idea what you’ve planned, so they won’t even notice if something is a little off or goes differently.
Really savor this magical day, which goes by incredibly fast (one day after a year of preparation feels short!).
Another tip: take a few days to rest after your wedding. You don’t have to go far, but it really helps to extend the joy and not come back down to earth too quickly after such a magical experience!
