How to maintain my shoes

General Care Tips:

Your beautiful shoes are made of leather. To maintain their shine, we recommend careful maintenance, which should begin as soon as you receive them:

  • Have a protective sole added under your leather soles by a cobbler. Leather is a noble material, but it can wear out. This will also help keep your shoes in excellent condition over time and prevent slipping on certain surfaces!
  • Waterproof all leathers except glitter and fine glitter (upon receipt and then about once every three months).

Then, adjust these care tips based on the materials:

Suede:

Here’s a tip for cleaning a stain on your suede. You will need: a suede sponge, suede brush, medium sandpaper, colorless renovator, F solvent, Hussard stain remover, and an eraser.

  • Brush the shoe to remove dirt.
  • Repeat the process by rubbing more vigorously with the suede sponge to remove deep impurities.
  • Rub the stain with sandpaper or lightly sand the entire shoe in the direction of the fibers if it's stained all over. For small areas, rub in circular motions.
  • Brush again.
  • Apply a bit of solvent to a paper towel and rub the stain.
  • Use an eraser to remove any residue.
  • For the inner suede, use Hussard stain remover, applying it with a paper towel and rubbing gently.
  • Spray with renovator from 20 cm away and let dry.

Smooth Leather:

  • Clean with cleansing milk, then apply moisturizing cream (like hand cream).
  • Waterproof regularly.

Patent Leather:

  • Clean with cleansing milk, and that's it!

Fine Glitter and Glitter:

  • Dust with a soft cloth, and optionally, use a suede brush to clean more thoroughly.

Hair-on Leather:

  • Do not apply anything, as this material is very delicate.

Reptile and Metallic Leathers:

  • Dust gently with a soft cloth.
