Discover Marjorie and Rémy's moving report and guess what? The mayor was her daddy! His mom had also fallen for our shoes and created a pretty pair to match her dress.

The meeting
We met at a winter sports event in January 2014. His proposal was at our home, in our apartment where we own the property. He organized the aperitif I love with my favorite meal. Afterwards, we went to see a play called "L'amour c'est mieux à trois". I love that play! When we got home, he'd bought my favorite dessert and asked me if I'd like to have the same name as our children, and thus become his wife. Of course, I said yes!
The most memorable souvenir of your special day
I really enjoyed seeing the people we love together and seeing them happy; happy to be there for us and for this event!

Location
We got married at my parents' house. My father is mayor and he's the one who married us!
Afterwards, we held the vin d'honneur in the courtyard of our farmhouse, all clean and well decorated. The speech by my father, the village mayor, was very emotional. We got married on a Saturday, October 5, because both our parents were married on October 4, 33 years ago. But my parents-in-law and my parents don't know each other!
Inspiration
Pinsterest was my best friend! I quickly came up with my ideas, and above all I wanted my wedding to feature a lot of symbols linked to the 2 of us: the mountain for the cufflinks and clutches linked to our meeting; the wheat germ, the vases filled with cereals linked to my cereal farming background; yellow and green for Monsieur's favorite colors and pink for me. The blue was to bring us together, as we both love this color.

The dress
I highly recommend the store Les Mariées d'Orfeuil in Châlons-en-Champagne (51000). I knew I'd find what I was looking for! I'd spotted a dress I'd loved on a video, and in this boutique I found the bottom part of a gorgeous dress. I really fell in love with it, and the saleswoman created the top for me!
Shoe design
It was my cousin who recommended Dessine-moi un soulier to me, because I couldn't find what I was looking for and I absolutely had to see them and try them on. So I went to the Paris boutique with pleasure. I tried them on, the team gave me good advice and the different customization possibilities are just WAAA. I received my shoes and wanted to change a detail, which was possible at no extra cost (just the return postage). The second time I received them, I was delighted to see and wear them. I didn't even need to do them up before the big day, because they're comfortable even the first time!
My mom, who created her own pair of shoes and matching clutch, was also delighted with her choice!

Bridal advice
Our friends and family were very helpful in every sense of the word. You have to know how to delegate in order to be zen on the big day. You can't do everything... You also have to accept the little imperfections that nobody notices but you. I've found that it's important to communicate our desires, our wishes and our choices to those close to us, because many heads give birth to many ideas. My last piece of advice would be to get your loved ones involved as much as possible, because they're always asking for it. You have to know how to get organized and get ahead of the game.
