The design

Dessine-moi un soulier is a French brand imagined by our designer, Juliette, in 2012, who has taken the crazy step of offering you, our customers, the chance to combine your imagination with ours to create the products of your dreams.

In short, Juliette designs and develops products every year, products that she thinks are essential, products that she wants to wear: tops, flats, boots, pumps, sandals... there's something for everyone.

And then... you take center stage. Thanks to our personalization tool, you can put the finishing touches to the design, using the shapes drawn by Juliette to create YOUR model, the one that looks just like YOU.

Each product will be hand-crafted, one by one, exclusively for you!

Carefully handcrafted, this is what makes our products so unique:

❤️ It takes no less than 2 hours to make each pouch, and more than 5 hours for the shoes.

❤️ No fewer than 150 operations and dozens of skilled hands are required to produce each individual product!

Because it's all about passion, all our craftsmen work hard every day to bring you the finest, most unique products - yours.

Let's take a closer look at these logistics...

First, let's go back to basics: we created all our shapes, patterns and models with you in mind, with us in mind, with those who would wear them... So we paid particular attention to the study of camber, to the selection of leathers for their suppleness...

So that comfort is no longer relegated to being the cheesy relative of design. Comfortable AND sexy, yes it's possible!

At Dessine-moi un soulier, we believe in three fundamental qualities: the need for a controlled arch, appropriate comfort, and the irreproachable quality of the materials used to make them.

And now for the production...

Leather cutting workshop

This is where the story of each shoe begins.

Where all our leathers, patterns and templates are stored.

Our cutter will give life to all the elements that will make up the shoe, working the leathers according to the model and materials chosen.

He pays particular attention to the choice of leathers: equipped with a cutter and hand-held scissors, he sharpens his eye for possible skin defects, graining and cut direction.

Our hundreds of skins, patterns, prototypes and markings hold no secrets for him.

He loves precision, the smell of leather and the softness of velvet skins.

Sewing

Next comes the stitching stage, which sews together all the pieces of leather that make up the shoe.

Our golden-fingered stitchers pay close attention to all the combinations they choose, and attach great importance to this key stage in the manufacturing process, which contributes to the strength of the finished shoes.

Stitching is carried out using traditional techniques. Reinforcements, lining, gutta, accessories... one thing leading to another, the shoe takes shape.

For us, "to the millimeter" is not just a motto, it's a profession.

Assembly

Shoe assembly is the final key stage in the shoe-making process.

Heels and soles are wrapped in leather, some studded, others glued.

Each shoe is then assembled by hand, one by one, to ensure perfect fit and quality. This last step requires considerable expertise, as it guarantees the very best quality for our shoes. Once assembled, the shoes are then pampered by hand using ritualized finishing processes.

All these production steps are subject to quality control, during which the shoes are observed from every angle to validate the accuracy of the orchestrated operations.

The search for our perfect workshops was... long and complicated, with trials and tribulations, not always conclusive...

Today, we're delighted to have found our rare pearls in Portugal, in the Porto region.

Two workshops that bring together everything we've been looking for: expertise, mastery of quality, uncompromising standards, a desire to discover new things and constantly improve...

Controlled production that respects people.

From the outset, workshop size and working conditions have been at the heart of our concerns. Workshops on a human scale that respect their employees, formerly in Romans and Cholet in France, now in the Porto region of Portugal. Nelson, Carla, Alexandre... beyond collaboration, we work hand in hand with our partners

Controlled production that respects the planet.

From the outset, we have been working towards "clean" production: no unnecessary stock, no waste, no squandering... All our products are made to order, all our developments are carefully thought out, our returns are reconditioned and resold, our defective items are donated so that they can be given a new life, our scraps are used in our small bows, brooches, etc....

We take care to group as many pairs as possible for our shipments, to avoid freight for a single product. So, of course, we're not perfect, but we try, in our small way, to do our best.

And finally, we are a brand by women, for women..
