" We met more than 13 years ago, in high school. I got a lovely proposal for our 10th anniversary, and it was the perfect way to make our love real."
" It's not one particular memory that has marked me, because there are many, it's more a feeling. The day of the wedding we had an overflow of love from all our loved ones, it was overwhelming! The heart overflows with feeling on the big day! I didn't sleep a wink for several nights after the wedding, just long enough to get over it, me being very sensitive, I was particularly touched!"
" We wanted to hold our wedding in a pretty barn in the Véxin region, for a natural, country atmosphere. The dominant colors of our wedding were pastel tones, for a powdery, springtime ambiance."
"To begin with, I was very lucky: my husband gave me carte blanche for the decoration, even if he did validate my choices ;). I already had a very precise idea of what I wanted, but for an extra helping hand I got a lot of help from Pinterest which for me is a "Bible" of trends and good ideas! I got a lot of inspiration from this site, and then adapted it to suit us at 200%.
Then there are lots of cool sites on the net, such as Etsy, decorerlebonheur.com, lesbricolesdenolou.comIkéa and so on."
" As for me, I went straight to the showroom, as I'm from the Paris region, it was easy to get around and I really wanted to get in touch with an advisor.
I already had a very precise idea of the model I had in mind, a platform shoe (I'm short, so to try and have a few extra centimeters was perfect), powder pink color with a little gold... The creation was quite quick, especially as I had already tried several creations online. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of the girl who gave me the advice, but I remember being made to feel very welcome, the person was patient and gave me good advice. The consultant really reassured me on this point and advised me to wear my shoes at home, just to get my feet used to them and to familiarize myself with the height of the heel. I wore my shoes for 1 or 2 hours at home every day 6 months before the wedding, and on the big day I felt like a pair of slippers!
To all those who can, I advise them to come and visit the showroom at least once - it's a shoe paradise and well worth a visit!
I did all the decorating myself, so I planned a year and a half in advance. For those of you like me, I'd advise you to spread out the workload a little so as not to find yourself overwhelmed 3 months before the wedding. Then you have to delegate. I had a hard time doing this because I really like to "control everything", but it's hard to keep on top of everything - between your professional life, your personal life and wedding preparations, you quickly become overwhelmed and stressed.
Then take the time to choose your suppliers carefully. They're going to share this day with you, so you might as well be well surrounded! It's all a bit hit or miss. Take, for example, the photographer who's going to enter your intimate space. You're going to find yourself having to pose, even though it's not your job, so you need someone who's a good listener, patient and on the same wavelength as you!
"First of all, I'd like to highlight my photographer, Aurélia Cordiez, who has done an exceptional job: mesplusbeauxsouvenirs.com. She's a little lady with great sensitivity and creativity! We wanted lively, modern photos, and she met our expectations perfectly.
Then there's our videographer, Alexis, who made a sumptuous video of our big day: pepe-mariage.com. He blended into the crowd, went unnoticed on the big day and yet was always at our side to film the most beautiful moments. He was patient, a good listener and met our expectations perfectly!
Last but not least, our wedding venue, the Grange des Aulnaies in the Vexin. Catherine, the owner, is an exceptional person, who worked with us for 1 year to prepare the wedding. She owns a magnificent venue and is a very friendly person!"
