\"We met 10 years ago, on July 31, 2006, on a station platform in Paris, to go to camp in England. At first, I didn't want to go because my brother wasn't accepted, and Vincent (my husband) wasn't going either because his boyfriend wasn't accepted either. In the end, I went with my brother J\u00e9remy and he went on his own. When I saw him on the station platform, I immediately told my brother that he had to become his friend. My suitcase accidentally fell on his feet (I really hadn't done it on purpose), which gave us a chance to joke and talk...<\/p>\n

As part of his studies, Vincent had to go to Ireland for a few months and on his return we decided to start a family. In January 2014, Louis arrived to fill us with happiness and on July 31, 2016 he proposed to me in a bar facing the sea that I love, in Rosas where my in-laws live. It was the day we met for 8 years.\"<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

What impressed them:<\/h3>\n

It's very difficult to choose just one outstanding memory, as the day was a succession of wonderful moments, but I'll try not to be too long, I promise! The very first memory was when Vincent discovered me at the town hall in my civil dress. I heard all morning that Vincent was very moved.<\/p>\n

Then, after the town hall, I went to put on my dress for the church with my four beautiful witnesses. I insisted that my brother accompany me to the hotel, so he hid inside the house and discovered me on the terrace. He literally burst into tears as he showered me with compliments and told me how proud he was of me.<\/p>\n

Then there's entering the church, clinging to my brother's arm, my heart beating fast, my brother crying, discovering all the people we love who were there to share our happiness, seeing my husband moved to tears when he saw me and thinking \"this is it, it's our turn!\"<\/p>\n

A final moment I loved was when our photographer, Anne-Lise Jegun, had us dancing in the church to our exit song \"This old heart of mine\" by the Isley Brothers, which really got us in the mood. We went out with a bang, and our guests played the confetti-throwing game really well!<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Location:<\/h3>\n

We got married at the Moulin de Nartaud, in Bourg Saint Bernard in the South-West of France. A very rural setting, exactly what we wanted. We fell in love with the place as soon as we visited, not to mention the kindness of the hosts!<\/p>\n

Their inspiration:<\/h3>\n

We decided to decorate in shades of yellow. So I spent hours on Pinterest to find decorating ideas and DIYs. My sister-in-law helped me make the vases, my in-laws took care of the wedding ring holder, the kraft cones for the confetti, I made some drums with lace, in short, decorating was a family affair! I got a lot of inspiration from blogs like\u00a0The angry bride<\/a>,\u00a0Queen for a day<\/a>or\u00a0One fine day.<\/a><\/p>\n

As for the outfits, we found the bow ties for the witnesses, the children of honor and my husband at\u00a0Le Colonnel Moutarde<\/a>\u00a0who were at the top of their game in terms of advice and patience!<\/p>\n

Vincent found his outfit at\u00a0Soulery<\/a>\u00a0in Toulouse, he went with his parents and immediately found what he wanted. His outfit was perfect: a blue suit, a yellow bow tie with white polka dots, a floral buttonhole to match my bouquet and wreath, and camel shoes.
\nAs for my civil dress, finding it was rather chaotic and my sister-in-law was extremely patient and gave me good advice. I thought we'd never make it, but in the end we went to Darel where I found MY long-sleeved lace dress.<\/p>\n

For the church dress, accompanied by my four best men and my mother-in-law, we went to the boutique.\u00a0Orange blossom<\/a>\u00a0in Toulouse, where I was able to try on different models and styles (I was sure I wanted a simple, country dress, but it was nice to try on models I wouldn't have thought of). I opted for a skirt - bustier - lace blouse ensemble.\u00a0Lambert Creation<\/a>. It was perfect for my body type.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Shoe design:<\/h3>\n

The shoes, the famous shoes... We took two years to prepare our wedding and from the start I fell in love with the DMUS concept. So I made an initial contact and it was Laura who took care of me and advised me throughout the process.
\nAs I don't have a boutique in Toulouse, I had to do it from a distance, and Laura was able to listen to me and answer my questions and doubts perfectly. I decided on a model of open pumps with crossover straps, in neon yellow velvet, and on Laura's advice I went for 8 cm heels instead of 6 cm.<\/p>\n

Colors may differ between the website and the real thing, so if you're hesitating between different shades and can't make it to the showroom, it's a good idea to ask for a leather sample - that's how I made up my mind!<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Jennifer's advice:<\/h3>\n

My first piece of advice would be to be extremely well organized. I used to make fun of Vincent at the start of the preparations, because he was so attached to his back-planner, in which he had described every action (from \"contacting the caterer\" to \"placing the crates of apples in front of the entrance\"!)
\nBut in the end, it's thanks to her rigor and organization that we weren't stressed at all (on the day of the set-up, though... Don't push it!), and that's also why we were able to enjoy ourselves serenely.<\/p>\n

A few days before the wedding, we drew up a to-do list for each witness for the day before the wedding and for the Dday, so that everyone knew what they had to do. I can tell you that if everything went so smoothly at our wedding, it's also because all our witnesses were so efficient!<\/p>\n

Then, of course, the last piece of advice is to make the most of every moment (try to, anyway!), sometimes I used to \"freeze frame\" and today it's with a lot of emotion that I think about it. The day goes by so quickly...
\nThen, so as not to get the blues after this superb day, we went on vacation with our son a week later, and we were on cloud nine.
\nThen when we got home, we tried to place a few wedding decorations in our home, to keep a few memories, we looked at Anne-Lise's photos and had a viewing of the wedding film.<\/p>\n

It helped us get back into the swing of things, and get those blues everyone's talking about!<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Her favorite service providers:<\/h3>\n

For the catering, we chose\u00a0Guillaume's kitchen<\/a>\u00a0\"He was very patient (1h30 late on the evening's program!), very professional, the dishes were delicious and, above all, all served at the same time and hot! For brunch, we called on \"\u00a0The guys with the truck<\/a>\u00a0\"A food truck from Toulouse. The burgers were to die for, it made for great Sunday entertainment, the guests were delighted and the girls even more so \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

For the photo report, we were able to count on \"\u00a0Anne-Lise's apartment\u00a0<\/a>\". She was great too: discreet, patient and always in a good mood! The result is top-notch: she took some original shots, and the photos are gorgeous. See you again for the trash the dress (among other things!).<\/p>\n

There's also the \"\u00a0Save the deco\u00a0<\/a>\"Jessica gave us \"great advice and lots of great decorating ideas. I recommend this site, which can also give you lots of decorating ideas! For our ephemeral tattoo bar, we took our inspiration from Save the Deco and\u00a0Bernard Forever<\/a>.<\/p>\n

For flowers, it's \"\u00a0The flower girl\u00a0<\/a>\"who took care of our wedding. The arrangements were just perfect, the flowers held up all day, even those in my crown and bouquet. She hadn't shown me any models, so I trusted her with 100% and it worked!<\/p>\n

As for the hairstyling, it was Sandrine Hair who knew how to meet my expectations, my changing desires... What patience!<\/p>\n

Then Aude B Colrat took care of the make-up for my witnesses, my mother-in-law and myself. Corine was patient, and to tell you the truth, I was a little worried because the sessions started at 8am for a 3:30pm wedding at the town hall. I was worried it wouldn't last all day, but in the end I was able to dance the night away without a single touch-up!<\/p>\n

For the guest gifts, I made yellow candles myself, and for the men, we bought straw hats from a wholesaler and colored glasses from Amazon.<\/p>\n

Finally, I also bought crates of apples on Leboncoin for the country feel, and some spotlights.\u00a0Le Parfait\u00a0<\/a>and my brother made us some logs to decorate the table.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
